Webtales IT Solutions, based in Navi Mumbai, develops Ruby on Rails software for organisations in Delhi and across NCR: approval-heavy portals for institutions and NGOs, student systems for coaching institutes and B2B order platforms for wholesale traders, all delivered remotely.

Much of the software Delhi runs on has one thing in common: many people with different permissions touching the same record. A grant application moves from programme officer to finance to trustee. A civil services aspirant in Old Rajinder Nagar moves from enquiry to enrolment to test series. A retailer’s order at a Sadar Bazaar wholesaler goes from counter to godown to delivery. Rails handles these role-based, multi-step workflows cleanly, and its testing tools keep them reliable as the rules change.

We do not have a Delhi office. Our developers, designers and QA engineers work together in one office in Navi Mumbai, and we serve Delhi NCR clients remotely, travelling for kickoff and key reviews where it helps.

Rails work shaped for NCR institutions and traders

Grant and beneficiary systems for NGOs

The capital is home to a large community of non-profits and policy bodies, many reporting to several funders at once. We build Rails systems that track grants, disbursements and beneficiary records, then produce each funder’s report without a week of spreadsheet work before every deadline.

Batch, test-series and fee software for coaching institutes

Civil services and entrance coaching centres around Mukherjee Nagar and Old Rajinder Nagar juggle many batches, mock tests and instalment plans in parallel. A Rails application ties enrolment, attendance, test scores and fee dues to one student record, with student-facing screens in Hindi and English.

Order booking for Chandni Chowk and Sadar Bazaar wholesalers

Wholesale traders supply retailers across north India on credit, often through salesmen taking orders by phone. We build order-booking apps where salesmen and retailers place orders, check outstanding balances and follow dispatches, so the counter stops being the bottleneck.

One system for branches in Delhi, Gurugram and Noida

NCR businesses often run units in more than one state, each with its own GST registration. We design the data model around branches and registrations from the start, so invoicing, stock and reporting stay correct when you open in Faridabad or Ghaziabad.

Referral and report tools for hospitals and diagnostics

Hospitals and diagnostic chains need referral tracking, appointment handling and report delivery that sit alongside their existing hospital software. We build focused Rails tools and APIs around those systems instead of trying to replace them.

Building for NCR’s languages, states and users

The mistake we see most often in software built for the capital region is treating the region as one place with one audience. NCR spans Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Users range from a trustee reading an English dashboard to a field worker or retailer who is far more at ease in Hindi. A system designed only for head office tends to be ignored by everyone else.

A handful of early decisions settle most of this:

  • Build bilingual from the first release using Rails’ translation framework, and test that Devanagari input, search and sorting work on real data.
  • Store states, branches and GST registrations as data rather than fixed settings, so expansion does not need a rewrite.
  • Treat accessibility as a requirement: keyboard navigation, screen-reader labels and adequate contrast. Websites of government bodies are expected to follow the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW).
  • Show each role only the screens it needs, and log every approval so audits are straightforward.

None of this is unusual in Rails, but it is far cheaper to settle in the first fortnight than to retrofit after launch. It also makes acceptance testing more honest, because staff in Noida or Chandni Chowk can test in the language and branch setup they will actually use. The broader stack is set out in our Ruby on Rails development overview.

How we run a Rails project for a Delhi client from Navi Mumbai

The work is remote by design, so we make it visible. You get a shared task board, a staging link that always shows the latest build, fortnightly video demos and a written report each month. Our dedicated QA team means your staff are not the first people to find bugs. For a new system we suggest meeting in person at kickoff to sit with the people who will use it; after that we travel when a review genuinely benefits from being in the room.

  1. A kickoff in Delhi or over video, mapping every role, approval step and report the system must support.
  2. A scope document agreeing the data model, languages, branches and accessibility requirements before development starts.
  3. Fortnightly builds on a staging link, demonstrated over video and tested by our QA team, including the Hindi screens.
  4. User acceptance testing with your staff across locations, then launch on AWS with CI/CD and monitoring.
  5. Monthly reporting and a support plan, with full documentation for any in-house or third-party team that takes over.

Frequently asked questions

We have units in Delhi, Gurugram and Noida. Can one system handle all of them?

Yes. We model branches, states and GST registrations as data, so one Rails application can invoice, report and control access per location. Adding a branch in Faridabad or Ghaziabad later becomes a configuration task rather than a code change, and head office still sees consolidated figures.

Can one Rails app run batches, mock tests and fees for a Mukherjee Nagar coaching centre?

Yes. For a civil services or entrance coaching centre in Mukherjee Nagar or Old Rajinder Nagar, one Rails application can link enrolment, batch, attendance, mock test scores and instalment dues to a single student record. Students see their schedule and results in Hindi or English. Staff stop reconciling separate sheets for fees and tests, and reminders go out automatically before each instalment falls due.

Can a Rails system produce each funder's report for a Delhi NGO?

Yes. A Rails system for a Delhi NGO or foundation records grants, disbursements and beneficiaries against each funder, then produces every funder's report in its required format without a week of spreadsheet work. Approvals move from programme officer to finance to trustee with a logged trail. Foreign contribution receipts and spending can be tagged separately, which supports the separate accounts FCRA requires.

Can our Chandni Chowk salesmen book retailer orders on a Rails app?

Yes. A Rails order-booking app lets the salesmen of a Chandni Chowk or Sadar Bazaar wholesaler place retailers' orders from a phone, check each retailer's outstanding balance and follow dispatches from godown to delivery. Retailers across north India can also order directly, so the counter stops being the bottleneck. Hindi screens suit salesmen and retailers who prefer working in Hindi.

Can the application work in both Hindi and English?

Yes. Rails has a built-in translation framework, so every label, message and email can have Hindi and English versions, and each user picks their language. Our QA team tests Devanagari input, search and sorting with real data, not just the English screens, before any release goes to your staff.

Can a Rails portal manage nursery admission forms and draws for a Delhi private school?

Yes. A Rails portal can run nursery admissions for a Delhi private school by collecting forms and documents, scoring each application against the criteria the school publishes, and recording any draw of lots with a full audit trail. Lists and notices can follow the Directorate of Education's schedule. EWS and DG seats are allotted through the Directorate's own online process, so the portal would record those allotments rather than run them.

Can a Rails app plan night-shift cab routes for a Gurugram or Noida office?

Yes. A Rails app can plan night-shift cab routes for a Gurugram or Noida office by grouping employees by sector and pickup point, assigning vehicles and drivers, and flagging trips that need a guard under company policy. Employees confirm pickups on their phones, drivers see the route in their own app, and the transport desk gets reports on delays, no-shows and vendor billing for each month.

Can you build Rails tools around a Delhi hospital's existing hospital software?

Yes. For hospitals and diagnostic chains across Delhi NCR, Webtales builds focused Rails tools for referral tracking, appointment handling and report delivery that connect to the existing hospital information system rather than replacing it. How deep the connection goes depends on the interfaces your current vendor exposes, such as an API or HL7 feed, which we check during the first fortnight.
